Kickback time
♫He rocks in the treetop all day long
Hoppin' and a-boppin' and a-singin' this song
All the little birds on J-Bird St.
Love to hear the robin goin' tweet tweet tweet♫

So, I've started the proctoring part of the job now.

Step 1: Get test.
Step 2: Escort student to test room.
Step 3: Hand test to student.
Step 4: Mark start time.
Step 5: Kick back and wait for student to finish test (approx. 3 hours)
Step 6: Collect test.

Well, since midterm week ended last week I think that's the end of that kind of work. But office errands shouldn't be that hard either. Deliver papers and whatnot. Maybe organize stuff. My real job work is supposed to start when we get the book lists for summer quarter. I guess around the end of May. Then transcription time. Maybe stress time? I don't know, but so far it's been a breeze. I realized I should have schedulled more hours now when the workload is feather light than schedulle more hours when the work load is deadline status. Oh well, I won't be taking classes in the summer anyway so I can take more hours and not have to worry about classes.

Yesterday was Elda's birthday and seven of us went to Buca di Beppo in Pasadena to celebrate. I made reservations at 6:30pm which turned out to be an impossible time to make considering alot of variables. Yannine, Maria and I arrived there at 7ish and made reservations there for a table, which was an hour and a half wait. Just enough time to wait because the others were running very late due to directions, a car, and traffic. So we went to look around at Urban Outfitters while we were waiting. After everyone finally arrived at the restaurant, we still couldn't get the table yet so we waited a bit longer. They crammed us in a booth with a room full of other birthdays. (Birthday room?) Kinda starved by then. We ate delicious foods high in trans fat, but all within reason. (Reason being it's a celebration.) Waiter brought a candelabra and a bowl of tiramisu while the whole room sang happy birthday to Elda. After our dinner, we walked our way to the Barnes and Noble Bookstore to read a bit while we settled our stomachs. It was already nearing 11 by then and stores were closing so we all left for home after that. Eventfull evening even if there was no cheesecake involed. I like dressing for occations.

Today I went with my mom to my aunt's retirement party since my dad caught the flu or something. The teachers were all pretty kewl. Alot of them drink alot too. One teacher impersonated Elvis and lip synched to songs. Three ladies impersonated the dream girls and lip synched. Very creative.

Tomorrow is a day for studies!
