6:20 p.m. - 2007-07-29 Though the song isn't completely ruined, it does bring back some interesting memories. So, for three days I've been on a family vacation to Big Bear. I hate the ride there. It's like, imagine a three year old trying to draw a straight line with a pencil... on off road terrain. That's the route. Very brilliant scenery though with all the mountains and trees. So, we rented out a cabin in the residential area right across the street from the houses on the lake. Nice house, had a little "babbling brook" in the front of the house and jacuzzi in the backyard. Nice, side from the mosquitoes and spider webs placed in various places in the house. Slept on the top bunk. Oddly, all the beds had those child wet-the-bed-proof mattress covers. Made the bed quite squeeky and uncomfortable. But oh well. Took a drive to Lake Arrowhead which is not impressive. Well, in retail stores and restaurant senses. I don't know why we go to Big Bear when we don't go to the lake or ski (which are Big Bear's main points of interests). My mom says to relax. I guess. Mountain air seems the same. A little cooler than Montebello weather-wise. I was just really anticipating going to the Desert Hills outlets on the way home. =) Mo-ron-gooo. We got there early so we found parking and the heat wasn't bearing down on us that much. Later it reached 101. Bought some nice face wash stuff from L'Occtaine (fancy lotion shop) since I didn't have time to try on $80 jeans at Lucky Brand. I mean, there has to be something behind their price right? Something backing up their prices? But I didn't buy any anyway cause it was hot and my family was ready to move out. Got home tired. I can sleep through a lot, but not the twists and turns of Big Bear. Head smashing into the window from swaying is enough to wake anyone. Well, in other news I got a new haircut! Got myself a brand new pair of bangs and layers. The bangs bug me a lot though cause they rest right on my eyelids. And they're not the most comfortable in the summertime heat. They protect my forehead from harmful UV rays? Yea, that's it... Ok, bringing back naptime. -keren
